“Nostalgia“ by Andrej Tarkowski
From 1983: Images that make you pause and pictures with mirrors, textures, width that create spaces. A church without a roof and a poet underneath with his vision of the Russian homeland. He is looking for traces of a Russian composer in Italy. In the autumn mood he he feels homesick and melancholic about this loss. The film is in many ways a personal, metaphorically developed, free of science fiction version of Stalker.
