“I’ll Come Tomorrow” – that’s the title of an anthology written by Alexander Wolf, that triggers off a landslide of memories in the first person narrator: Memories of the Russian Civil War, of a trooper on a white horse, of a murder in the Russian steppe. But who is this Alexander Wolf? And how is it possible that he knows this story?

Gaito Gasdanow, born 1903 in St. Petersburg, deceased 1971 in Munich, is considered on of the most important Russian writers in exile of the 20th century. Recently translated by Rosemarie Tietze (Hanser Publishing House), his intriguing and poetic novel is now to be rediscovered. After an introduction by Johanna Renate Döring-Smirnov (professor emeritus for Russian Literature), actor Thomas Loibl (Schauspiel Zurich et.al.) will read passages from it.
